Took him long enough, wouldn’t you say? Cuomo doesn’t deserve recognition anymore. We need to stop putting his name out there. He was seen as the pandemic hero, a hero that I praised for his work in the pandemic keeping New York safe. He is a sexual harasser though and we need to stop giving him the recognition that he doesn’t deserve.

I would like to talk about Cuomo’s replacement though. Her name is Kathy Hochul and she will become the 57th Governor in the state of New York. She will also become the first female governor of the state. She’s been the Lieutenant Governor of New York since January of 2015. Before that, she served in the United States House of Representatives for New York’s 26th District.

Hochul is a perfect Governor for New York. She has the experience needed to do the job, she is pro-choice, she will deal with the COVID problem better than Cuomo did, and she is a woman taking over for a woman harasser. It is a beautiful moment in New York that everybody needs to celebrate.

You might not agree with her policies which are completely understandable. You don’t have to agree with her policies, but you have to admit that a woman replacing Cuomo is an amazing moment for women across the nation. It shows that women are capable of anything if they put their mind to it.

Now, we need to see Cuomo prosecuted and in prison. He deserves to rot in a jail cell for what he did. Yes, he was a great leader of New York, but his character doesn’t help how the state of New York looks when it comes to public image. Kathy Hochul will fix that issue.
