Israel vs. Palestine

Israel vs Palestine

It’s been a few months since conflict broke out between the Jewish country of Israel and the Muslim state of Palestine. One thing I see that confuses people the most is if Palestine is actually a country. The answer is in fact no. Palestine is a part of Jordan. In the 1950s the British recognized Palestine as a part of Jordan. If you’re still confused, think of Athens and Sparta. They were city states that ruled themselves but were a part of something bigger. Israel on the other hand is a country recognized by 162 other countries. The violence started when Israel started taking more Palestinian land. By looking at charts we can see that over the years Palestine has lost tons of land to Israel (chart at bottom). Israel was able to get away with this because of who funds their crusades, that being the United States. The US in 2019 gave Israel an astounding 11.8 billion dollars. This covers military expenses and American loan guarantees. This makes it so there is about no way for Palestine to stand up to Israel. So in a way that whole conflict is America’s fault. I say America in general because no matter what party ruled congress or sat in the oval office we still gave billions to Israel.

  1. Who wrote this article, a third grader? This guy knows nothing about politics or history. And he used aljazeera as a legitimate source, this chart is historically wrong. Plus he is blaming the US for the conflict!?
